Sleep Study

So, I think I am fairly recovered from the sleep study I had to attend with DS on Sunday night. Boy was that fun! I had to sleep in a recliner in the room with him but had to wait until he actually FELL asleep to go to "bed". So, basically, I spent 2 1/2 hours getting to know my friendly neighborhood sleep study technician. Fairly nice guy (6 KIDS, all of them 2 years apart! Boy do I feel for the mother;-) although the large tattoo of a Chinese character on the side of his neck kinda through me at first. Especially when I found out he was a cop for 15 years before his current gig at the sleep center. (Are cops allowed to get tattoos on their necks? Something to think about I guess, I'd really enjoy some input on that one!)

Though I thought I would have plenty of time to knit, which I did actually come to think of it, I didn't seem to get much done. All I could seem to focus on was how little sleep I was going to get in that recliner with my darling child snoring away next to me! I did get quite a few more rows done on my brother's soon to be Americana Afghan... I might actually finish the blue field for the stars soon and get to start on the stripes. Maybe. If I can slog through the mind-numbing boredom of all those rows done in plain garter stitch.

DH left for Cleveland Monday for work. He should be home Thursday evening. So, of course, that is no help on the sleeping front. For some reason I am hyperalert whenever I am at home at night with the kids and he is gone. Some kind of primordial maternal instinct at work or just another manifestation of my utter weirdness?

In other news, I took my final exam for the state portion of my RE course. I got a 92% on the practice exam, an 88% on the final that I took immediately after... Isn't that just typical? At least I get to start on the national portion of the course and hopefully will have taken (and passed ;-) my license exam by the end of next month. Wish me luck!
