What was I thinking?

So, I worked 11 am-7 pm yesterday at the restaurant... came home, took a shower and went out with my husband. Back to the bar which is the lower level of the restaurant where I work. They had a live band called South Wind. (Who, BTW, are VERY good!) So after dancing for 3 hours, we left with some friends.

At this point, I have a small (ok, large) buzz going. We stop at a party someone had heard about but being the OLDEST people there, we left almost immediately. Then we had the bright idea.

Let's make DH hookup the boat trailer to the truck so we can head out to the sandbar. At TWO in the morning. SO, we did and he did and off we went. We stop at the cabin of one of his friends, whereupon I go up to the door and bang on it til he gets out of bed, and we force him to get dressed and come with. Then we continue on our merry way. By this time, I'm almost sober.

We get to the sandbar. It's pitch black and ever so chilly and think to ourselves (and out loud ;-) "Let's go skinny dipping!" So, off come the clothes. Mind you, I have three children and one of those pregnancies was TWINS!! I've never gone skinny dipping before and by this time I can't even blame it on the alcohol... Damn it. But, hey, I'm game.

Hit the water, it's freezing cold. Now I'm totally sober and the woman who started all this with the bright idea of "Let's go skinny dipping!", is still dressed and in the boat whining about how cold SHE is... She's lucky she made it home alive. This is when I realize--NO TOWELS! So when it's time to go I have to struggle into my jeans and T-shirt dripping wet and then endure the boat ride back to the dock (a couple of miles) on a cold, windy night. WHO HAD THIS BRIGHT IDEA AGAIN (and why isn't she in the water)? Can I torture her slowly and with great relish? ;-) LOL

I got home a little after 4 am. I woke up this morning and could barely get out of bed. No hangover but my hips and legs are so stiff I feel like I'm ninety. For future reference, next time someone says "Let's go out to the sandbar!", remind me to look at the clock and if it's after 3 pm, make sure I say "NO!" LMAO
