One Skein Gift

Well, I finally finished my One Skein Gift Exchange item yesterday. Of course, I ran right out to the post office and mailed it, passing the digital camera on the way out the door and not remembering to take a picture. Sometimes I amaze even myself! LOL

I hope the recipient likes it. I'm not a very experienced knitter and it was a challenge for me. I actually knit it once without beads for practice and then knit it with beads for the recipient. I really enjoyed the pattern (Odessa off of Knitty) and actually plan to make several more for friends as gifts. Maybe I'll remember to take pictures of those.

In other knitting news, I finally picked the Shoalwater up again, it has been a while. My kids had apparently gotten ahold of the row counter I was using for it and it took me about an hour to figure out where I had left off. I found my place eventually though and knitted several rows last night. I am now ready to start the last pattern repeat so hopefully I will get it done before I go to Europe next month. I would love to be able to take it with me.
