Drop Stitch Scarf

I finally finished this drop stitch scarf Saturday, June 10, 2006. I spent most of the day at the 2nd Annual Folk Festival in Clarksville, MO. I had a space where I demonstrated knitting to those who were interested. I didn't realize that it was also World Knit in Public Day (or whatever you want to call it:-) until a friend pointed that out. I guess I did my part. I met several interesting people while I was there.

One lady was demonstrating weaving on a four peddle loom. I think that is what she called it anyway. There was also a couple of women demonstrating pin lacemaking. It was very fascinating to watch them but I don't think I have the patience for it. Also, the local quilters' guild showed up with some of their quilts and things they are working on... my grandma is a member and I know she was demonstrating applique techniques that day. It was a wonderful experience and best of all I managed to finish the scarf pictured here.
