Taking a Break

Okay, so I am anxiously awaiting the release of the first clue for the Mystery Stole KAL this Friday. In the meantime, I am trying to learn a provisional cast-on that will work for me. Or I should say, one that I can figure out.

I'm also still working on my Shoalwater. I have finished the first repeat of the pattern and am halfway through the second. I'm really loving the striping of the yarn at this point and the two dyelots have been blending successfully so far.

Today, though, I am trying to clean house and do laundry while the kids scream and fight and watch a marathon of Spongebob Squarepants. How many times can they watch the same episode before they get tired of this show? My brain is turned to mush just from having to listen to them over and over and over. On the other hand, it is better than Pokemon. I'm taking a break from the laundry at the moment. It isn't like it is going anywhere... right?

I was going to take the kids outside to play but it is way too hot and humid right now. I think I will wait until later this evening. Hopefully it will cool off some once the sun starts to go down. In the meantime, I think I will cast on for a new felted purse or maybe another scarf or.... Well, something anyway. :-)
